Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said the government wants to make the farmers rich so that there is no need for them to take loans.
The Chief Minister was talking on an ordinance to amend the Telangana State Commission for debt relief (small farmers, agricultural laborers, and rural artisans) Act 2016.
The Chief Minister said the Godavari is the only source of water because there is no water in Krishna and after another project of 100 TMCs by Karnataka, it would be difficult to have water in Krishna.
The TRS Government will pay RS.15000 crore power bill to lift water and supply it free of cost for irrigation purposes to farmers in the State.
He said that this government is farmer-friendly and will continue to bear all the financial burden to supply free power and water for irrigation purposes to the farmers until they become self-sufficient.
