Sanjay Nirupam all of a sudden left the stage when Milind Deora was addressing. In spite of repeated requests, Nirupam did not return. Deora continued his address and said indirectly: some people are angry. Relevantly Congress president Rahul Gandhi sacked Sanjay Nirupam as Mumbai Congress chief and replaced him with 43-year-old Milind Deora on the eve of the Lok Sabha elections. For Deora, elected to Parliament in 2004 and 2009, it’s going to be a challenging job as he will have to do his utmost to wrest all six seats from the city from the BJP-Shiv Sena combine. Deora feels the task is difficult but not impossible as the people of Mumbai are with the Congress.
