I will make every effort to take Advani ji’s legacy (at Gandhinagar) forward,” said BJP president Amit Shah before he headed out to fill nomination papers for Gandhi Nagar Lok Sabha parliamentary elections.
He was speaking at a public event. Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency will go to polls in phase 3 of Lok Sabha elections. A battery of NDA leaders arrived in Gandhinagar on the day when the BJP president was due to file his nomination papers. Current MP of Gandhinagar is senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani. However, he has not been given a ticket for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Shah said that he feels proud to be contesting from Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency that has chosen stalwarts like Lal Krishna Advani in the past.
He added that upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be fought on only one issue. People will give choose their leader (Narendra Modi) at the Centre. It is certain, he said, that, Narendra Modi will win second term as a prime minister of the country.
During his short speech lasting 10 minutes Amit Shah appealed to people of Gujarat to support BJP on all 26 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
